Tisane del mio cuor

Herbal teas from my heart

December is a time for taking stock, January is a time for scales!!
Anyone who returned to Puglia for the Christmas holidays knows this well!
Today I got a meme that said: Welcome back… in jeans.
But running for cover, with extreme diets and intermittent fasting, is never a good idea (and then I don't know how you can not eat for sixteen consecutive hours); there are certainly more pleasant solutions to get back in shape and feel better.
Riding the wave of my good intentions, last night, Netflix recommended me to watch Blue Zones, the secrets of longevity a docuseries by the American author and researcher Dan Buettner. Among the secrets of the much sought-after longevity there is also a certain consumption of herbal teas and since the topic is particularly close to my heart, as I am a true fan, I took notes. Here are the ones that are apparently very good for our body.
Sage : This herb is truly amazing! Thanks to its antioxidant and antimicrobial properties, sage tea can help improve digestion and reduce inflammation. If you've had a bit of a heavy night or suffer from gastrointestinal issues, this is perfect for you. Additionally, sage is also known for its antiperspirant properties that can help control excessive sweating.
Mallow : it is a real panacea for the throat! If you have a sore throat or cough , mallow herbal tea can offer immediate relief. Thanks to its anti-inflammatory and soothing properties, it can help relieve irritation and inflammation of the respiratory tract. But that's not all: mallow is also excellent for the skin . If you have problems such as eczema or dermatitis, this herbal tea can help soothe irritation and improve the appearance of the skin.
Rosemary : Its aroma and flavor alone are enough to make us feel good. Rosemary tea is known for its stimulating and toning properties. It can improve blood circulation, stimulate memory and reduce mental fatigue. In addition, rosemary is rich in antioxidants , which help protect the body from free radical damage.
These herbs are a true elixir! In addition to offering numerous benefits for the body and mind, these herbal teas also provide a unique taste experience. So, do not hesitate to sip them and enjoy their positive effects on your health.
Enjoy every sip...and be well!
